The album is to date the most successful of Clapton's career and was certified 10x Multi Platinum by the RIAA on May 16, 1996 for 10 million copies sold, thus achieving rare Diamond sales status. Filmed as an "MTV Unplugged" in front of a small audience in Windsor, England on Jan. 16, 1992, the resulting album went on to win six Grammy Awards
