This older style herringbone pattern is difficult to find these days, as manufacturers have shifted to the broader zipper like links and away from the wider individual links. Additionally, herringbone chains were infamous for kinking and being sent to scrap, so not many survived past the 1980s! This chain does have a small bend at the halfway point I suspect it was from
