Cascina Galarin 'Nuvole' chardonnay 2022About halfway between Barolo and Asti, some low rolling hills provide the vineyards for this well made chardonnay. Elegant stone fruit and some citrus, underscored by a touch of oak but no more. If you didn't know that Italy even made chardonnay, try this to see how good it can be.

this is classic red montepulciano with the fermentation interrupted while there's still some residual sugar

but kept in check by trademark grapefruit acid and a touch of barrel work for added complexity

Lovely medium-sweet dessert wine from Abruzzo

and this is their flagship non-vintage

reward you with riper fruit than a village wine

especially seafood of all kinds

This probably leans a touch more towards its Euro neighbour over the Alps
