It is handmade from brass and has beautifully intricate hand carvings along the lid. The carvings are similar patterns to that of an Indian style. It has a small handle on the top and a latch on the front. Originally, it would have been used to store chapatis, nowadays however, it would make a perfect jewellery or trinket box.
