Plum Charcuterie Board #14This insane charcuterie board is made from plum that has been salvaged from a Niagara orchard. It is very irregular in shape, grain pattern and colour. I have done my best to match the colour of the wood in the photographs, but it is hard to duplicate online the deep red, yellow and purple colours in the wood. The swirling grain pattern in unique to fruitwoods like this. This board is 33 inches long, around 13 inches wide, and 1 inch thick. Plum wood

A centre hole is drilled to accept the 2 3/4 inch clock movement with Arabic numbering

Put some pillar candles on it and you have a candelabra

The platter is set on a lazy susan turntable ring that has four small felt feet so it does not damage your table top

A blunt knife used on a hard cheese may leave a slight mark

It includes five deluxe tea light candles in glass holders that are quite substantial and have a wavy top that reflects and refracts the candle light

This board is 21 inches long

but our customers told us they use it as a sushi platter or use it as fruit bowl

Each candle includes one plain glass tealight holder inset into the wood

The natural checks and cracks caused by the drying process are filled with translucent clear epoxy to create a flat surface

This wood took over a year to dry

There is a large crack from drying that has been filled with metallic blue epoxy

but it is hard to duplicate online the soft peach and yellow colours in the wood
