2012 Berry Bros. & Rudd Knockdhu, Cask Ref. 7127, Speyside, Single Malt Scotch Whisky (58.8%)This Knockdhu has a dry, nutty nose expanding with time in the glass. It shows almonds and walnuts before green fruits and banana bread notes appear. The palate is an equally complex meeting of fruits, wood spice and distillate driven nuttiness, offering an excellent mouthfeel. A little tobacco dances across the finish, with a burst of citrus and some honeyed green fruits.

After fermentation in stainless steel the wine has been allowed to age in barrique for 31 months

Don’t get me wrong

I can envisage this mellowing in four to six year's time
