Courthouse Steps Log Cabin Crib Quilt postage stamp quiltOutstanding original crib quilt,, a Courthouse Steps Log Cabin quilt. This early circa 1870s quilt is in overall excellent condition. We love acquiring quilts like this that have survived so well, especially a crib quilt. Fabrics of wonderful browns, chrome orange, butterscotch yellow, shirtings and madders and so many more make up the design of lights and darks. The backing is an early double pink fabric. The dimensions are 32x39 inches.

The sawtooth edge that is then bordered by the strip of green

the centers of the intersections all add to the fine qualities of this true work of art

an applique Princess Feather with an incredible pieced zig zag sashing/border that frames each of the blocks
