"Market Day" by Marian Lerer, Amer., (1928-2017) Etching in pencil denoting an impressionLithograph, Ca. 1950's, Ed. unknown, 5 15 16 x 11 3 16, unsigned, on cream wove paper. While I could not find a reference to this store, it was possibly a local neighborhood institution for Lerer while growing up, as a Joseph Treegob resided at 4083 Landcaster Ave., Philadelphia in 1924, where Lerer later attended art school. Regardless, it is a charming print, full of amusing quirky details in the shop window, including a favored cat raiding the fish
