Description
Georges Mugneret Gibourg, Echezeaux other_regions(from the climats of Les Rouges du Bas and Les Quartiers de Nuits; aged in 80% new oak). A deftly wooded nose surrounds the ripe aromas of cassis, natural spice, warm earth and violets. There is an opulent mouth feel to the pure and palate coating flavors that brim with an impressive reserve of dry extract before terminating in a long and salineinfused finish. This is robust but not rustic or austere and should reward longer term cellaring. 93 2023+
An almost timid nose reluctantly shares its aromas of various white orchard fruit that are laced with hints of citrus
it has great concentration
Montrachet typically fleshes out substantially with bottle age and this should do that as well but it’s not clear that there is necessarily better potential here compared to either the Criots or the Bâtard
excellent length
(from Les Champs Perriers in Brochon)
I suspect this will come close to the quality of the Hill of Grace at a fraction of the price
Is this the best vintage since 1990 or perhaps 1978
one for the cellar if you can resist temptation
Tasted from magnum
(from 3 separate parcels that aggregate only
These grapes are always picked last
it has a kinky
