Koppar Glass Kollection - Falukorvhis piece features a natural waxed linen and leather cord for a rustic and earthy element. Cord is about 30" in length. "Falukorv " refers to a very old style sausage that was made in Falun in Sweden where the ancient copper mine is located. Arizona Artist: Miriam Carlson Maier. "Turquoise" - is of course a copper mineral ranging in blues to greens and is sometimes very valuable

"Ärg " means verdigris in Swedish - the lovely worn patina that copper gets when exposed to air and weather

It is still extremely prolific to this day

"Dalar" means valley in Swedish

The glass beads are made by hand by manipulating soda-lime glass rods in a flame until molten using a torch

"Mörk" means dark in Swedish
