I have been culturing this Rainbow Goni since 2013

its color is impressive

The original Sunny D zoanthids

Full size adult head get up to 2

It is a soft coral that resembles a tree

I haven’t yet seen any that are greener than this in all my history in the hobby

When super happy they have a glitter flake on their tentacles which is easier to pickup on camera but not noticeable with the eye unless you look close and have good eye sight

It’s not uncommon for them to grow 4” across

It was purchased by a local reefer at the 2012 Ohio Reef Frag Swap

Although direct feeding is not required it can be satisfying to watch the large polyps take small bits of food such as fish flakes or frozen mysis from the water
