The carboxyl groups can form strong hydrogen bonds with both active material and current collector. It is widely used for slurry preparation of silicon based anode material, LiFePO4, lithium sulfur battery and sodium ion battery electrode. Compared with Carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) binder, the silicon anode using PAA binder has better cycling performance.
