A much spicier and more elegant nose presents notes of plum
(from a 1 ha parcel of 40+ year old vines)
persistent and palate staining finish
opening up and showing more nuances
This is definitely not a candidate for early drinking
2000 La Spinetta Barolo Campe shows an inky dark color
In addition to being a highly regarded vintage with perfectly balanced weather conditions
this would best be allowed at least 5-ish years of cellar time first and it should amply repay extended keeping
a bit less concentration
An exceptionally spicy nose of very fresh black pinot fruit
Best after 2006
