Amerway 50/50 Solder - 1 Pound Made in USA S96 100SF-ICEWhile not as widely used, 50 50 solder is often preferred because of its lower cost. Since it has a higher melting point, it melts at 413 F and solidifies at 361 F; a bit of extra care is recommended for lead come work. Testing shows that Amerway 50 50 solder has flow characteristics approaching those of 60 40 solder from other makers.
