Description

Guava Hawaiian - RubyA superior selection of Hawaiian guava delicious eaten fresh or juiced. The fruit can be round to pear shaped, yellow skinned, with a delicious juicy ruby pink flesh. A fantastic variety due to its low seed count. Once established the tree is very hardy and a prolific cropper. Guavas can be pruned to keep more compact and are perfect for growing in pots and containers.

Flesh texture is inferior to the common Soursop

A self pollinating variety if you only have space for 1 tree however cross pollination with another variety increases fruit size

The non-fibrous pulp is very sweet and juicy to taste

Te white Opal has an attractive coloured skin with red blush

The Fat Black or Emerald Finger Lime is as dazzling as its name suggests

Northern NSW

it is an exceptional garnish

not recommended for coastal Qld and northern NSW as winters are not cold enough to produce fruit

The first taste is bitter

Chempejack are less cold tolerant than standard jackfruit and will need protection from low temps and wind in sub tropical climates

Eloise is highly suited to kids luncboxes as it is very easy to peel and has a beautiful sweet flavour and no seeds

Flowering typically occurs from January to June
