Description

Vintage Holton Bell: The WaveYou would never know that this beautiful bell was originally attached to a 1949 Holton made in Elkhorn Wisconsin; serial number 198935. It has been delacquered, cleaned, and fitted with an Alexander ring. There are 7 artistic waves appliqued around the perimeter ring of the bell. The wave design was inspired by the awesome woodblock print by the great Japanese artist Hokusai, known as The Great Wave off Kanagawa. The waves are made out Nickel Silver,

1 has been engraved into four strips of nickel silver

raw yellow brass bell flare (which may be customized for additional cost)

The crook and coupler sockets as well as the braces were all hand forged

bell throat inner diameter: 2-27/32 inches

The bell with its bell ring weighed 461g before the applique design was applied

This bell produces a nice sound and is very difficult to overblow with the added mass of the garland
